Good day Sirs,

A friend of mine just made me discover your web site. I just had to
write to congratulate you all on your efforts!

First of all, YES, we must remain united with Peter, and his current
successor, Pope Benedict XVI. The true leader of the Church is Jesus
Christ, but Jesus Himself said that if we wanted to follow Him, we
had to obey the Pope!

Second, I of course fully approve Redemptionis Sacramentum, and any
reasonable effort so that "the Vatican II Liturgy will be beautifully
celebrated". Amen! Amen!

Now a few things I disagree with, starting with something not too
important. On the Internet, the ".com" extension means "Commercial"
[Computer Networks 4th Ed., by Andrew S. Tanenbaum, page 580].
Hence, "Microsoft.com" or "www.coca-cola.com".

For people who are under 40, having a very religious web site with a
".com" extension is startling, and a bit ridiculous. A ".org" or ".ca"
extension seems more appropriate.

The second thing I have reservations about is the service you offer
to the world, which seems to be:

"Out of love for the Holy Father, our Bishop and his brother priests,
we pledge: [...] To assist any Catholic, whether Priest, Deacon,
Religious or lay member of Christ's faithful, to lodge a documented
report or complaint to the proper authorities."

In other words, help enforce Redemptionis Sacramentum.

My first question: Do you publish those "documented reports or complaints"
on your web site? If not, why? One of the reasons bad members of the clergy
in Canada get away with murder, is that nobody takes them to task publicly.
I speak of experience. If you send a written complaint about anything, they
will drool all over you with gratitude, claiming they are very happy to
receive such complaints. Then they will do strictly nothing (and keep your
complaint totally secret).

My second question is: What makes you think complaining about some minor
detail in the Liturgy will be heard by our Bishops, if the Bishops are
deaf to the most horrible genocide Canada has ever known? Here I quote
from Eric Alcock's petition:

"Up until last year, except for a five month break in 38 years,
"Catholic" Prime Ministers have managed the affairs of Canada.
Every one of them without exception has flouted Catholic
teaching on sexuality through their pro-contraception, pro-abortion,
pro-sodomy agendas. And every one of them considered
themselves good Catholics and regularly presented themselves
for Holy Communion. During that 38 year reign of social
devastation and spiritual ruin too many Catholic Bishops failed
to take steps to deal with this epic scandal. Despite the
fierce defiance of Catholic teaching exhibited by the Prime
Ministers there is no record of even one single occasion when a
Catholic Prime Minister was denied Communion."
[Open Letter to the Catholic Bishops of Canada, from Vote Life, Canada!]

If Canadian Bishops deliver Christ over to heretics during Holy Communion,
against the very explicit orders of the Pope, what makes you
think the Bishops will listen to complaints about liturgical details?
Shouldn't all the members of your Society sign Eric's petition?

Anyway, in conclusion, I want to repeat I totally agree with everything
you are doing. I disagree only with your omissions (which I
consider very serious omissions).

In Christ,

Stefan Jetchick

Good morning Stefan:

Thanks for your contact. Its good to meet others who have a
respect for the Church and what it stands for. Our organization
got started about 3 years ago. Our concern is to help restore
the proper respect in the celebration of the Mass. We do get
involved with other questions but we try to concentrate on our
mandate as you read it on our web page. We believe that a good
prayer life is a major part of the solution to today's problems
. There is an attempt today to create a new entity called the
Canadian Catholic Church. We see this as a watering down of our
faith and a departure from the Magesterium of the Church. We see
a great need for dialogue with our clergy leading to a return to
good basic teaching from our priests and bishops.

We invite your support in persuing this goal and spreading the
word among your friends about our work. Thanks again for your
contact. Tell us how the situation is in your area.

Yours in Jesus' name,
Paul Musial

Good day Mr. Paul Musial,

>> It's good to meet others who have a
>> respect for the Church and what it stands for.

Yes! Thank God there are still a few of us left in Canada!

>> Our concern is to help restore
>> the proper respect in the celebration of the Mass.

A very worthy goal, as I've said in my first e-mail.

>> We believe that a good
>> prayer life is a major part of the solution to today's problems.

Amen! Amen!

>> There is an attempt today to create a new entity called the
>> "Canadian Catholic Church". We see this as a watering down of our
>> faith and a departure from the Magisterium of the Church.

Yes, a very dangerous and slippery slope.

Just here in my diocese, Cardinal Ouellet has approved the renaming
of the "Diocese of Quebec City". It's now called "The Catholic Church
of Quebec" (Église catholique de Québec). We're no longer called
a diocese! You can see for yourself on the official web site.

>> We see a great need for dialogue with our clergy leading to a return to
>> good basic teaching from our Priests and Bishops.

I agree with your goal (returning to the teachings of the Church),
but I'm not sure about your "dialogue-centered" approach. That approach
has been failing consistently, ever since we started using it
about fourty years ago.

Shouldn't we stop doing what doesn't work, and try a new approach?

>> We invite your support in pursuing this goal

As I've just said, you have all my support for your goal, but not
for your means to that goal (unless you do more than pray and hide).

>> Tell us how the situation is in your area.

It's all here:

My Subjective Assessment Of Cardinal Ouellet

>> Thanks again for your contact.

Hum, I didn't write just to say hello! I had a serious and important
question, which you carefully avoided. So I will repeat it:

"Shouldn't all the members of your Society sign this petition?"
Open Letter to the Catholic Bishops of Canada, from Vote Life, Canada!

Thanks for your clear answer!

In Christ,
