Subject: Invitation to the Quebec City Life Chain 2007 and the Life Conference
Sirs,
Every first Sunday of October, all over North America, Christians gather on sidewalks to peacefully pray for one hour, while holding one of the following approved pro-life sign messages:
Abortion kills children
Jesus forgives and heals
Adoption: the loving option
Lord, forgive us and our nation
Abortion hurts women
Pray to end abortion
Life - the first inalienable right
This year, the Quebec City Life Chain will be October 7th, 2007, from 2 PM to 3 PM, near the intersection of Jean De Quen Avenue and Laurier Boulevard, Quebec City.
It would be wonderful if you could come and pray with us for one hour!
Already, several religious leaders have announced their support for this year's Life Chain in Canada ("Bishop Nicola De Angelis of the Peterborough diocese, Archbishop Brendan O'Brien of the Kingston diocese and Ottawa Archbishop Terrence Prendergast. The president of the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada, Bruce Clemenger, [... also the] Archbishop of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Toronto, his Eminence Sotirios" [Evangelical, Greek Orthodox and Roman Catholic Leaders Endorse Sept. 30 Canadian Life Chain], 2007-August-24, www.LifeSite.net)
Moreover, we are organizing a little Conference for Life in Quebec City for youngsters and young adults of the Quebec region, Tuesday October 2 at 07h30 PM, at the Trinity Church (2687 ch. des Quatre Bourgeois). Ms. Isabelle Bégin from Respect for Life - Education Movement will be our guest speaker. It would be a great honor for us all if you could come and make a presentation on the dignity of human life, from conception to natural death.
It would also be very much appreciated if you could ask all your Priests to mention these two events and encourage their parishioners to attend. I'm including a copy of a flyer with all the relevant information.
I am of course available to provide you with any additional information.
In the service of Jesus Christ,
Bernard Westerveld, Chairman
Quebec City LifeWeek Committee
