I'm not a lawyer, so I'm not sure how to deal with the intellectual property of this Generic Catholic Election Platform. Nevertheless, some things do seem clear to me:

- Whatever intellectual property (IP) protection scheme is used for this Platform, it's not the same as the one used everywhere else on this web site.

- I want everybody to be able to contribute to this Platform, with no fear of having their hard work stolen, or disfigured, or commercialized, etc.

- I don't want any corrupt politician or party copying this material and screwing it up.

- Even assuming that only nice and honest people copy this material, I don't want a zillion half-baked copies floating out there. I want there to be a "central" copy, that is constantly improved with everybody's contributions, and therefore that everybody can profit from.

That being said, for the time being the least bad solution I've found is a Creative Commons License:
